USA PRAYER WALL: 50 STATES PRAYING ACROSS AMERICA TOGETHER
Let’s pray believing that as we unite in prayer across America our prayers will be powerfully used to dispel the dark forces that have threatened our families, our prosperity and the freedoms we cherish. Let’s start praying now for a million believers who will pray for and witnessing to a million. Let’s celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great country with a million hearing and responding to the good news of Jesus.
DR. P. DOUGLAS SMALL’S vision of a million praying for a million is no small task and will require a multi-organizational, multi-denominational effort to unite believers and congregations in simultaneous prayer and witness.
Intercessors and prayer warriors, let’s do our part with fifty hours a week of prayer. It sounds like a lot but if each state prays just one hour a week, it can be done quite easily. We’re asking our dear Father for one prayer team in each of the 50 states praying just one hour a week for revival and awakening in America and for the specific goal of one million believers praying for one million to come to saving faith in Jesus.
How does Prayer at the Heart’s USA prayer wall work? Each weekday, Monday—Friday, is divided into one hour timeblocks 7 am—7 pm. The 50 states naturally fall into 5 regions of about 10 states each according to the usual time zone for each state. One day of the week is set aside for each region:
Monday, PACIFIC REGION—(Pacific Time Zone) Alaska & Hawaii;
Tuesday, MOUNTAIN REGION—Mountain Time Zone;
Wednesday, CENTRAL REGION—(Central Time Zone);
Thursday, EASTERN REGION—(Eastern Time Zone);
Friday, NEW ENGLAND—(Eastern Time Zone.)
Prayer facilitators in each state select one hour for weekly prayer on the day of the week reserved for that time zone. For example, Minnesota, in the Central region, prays on Wednesday @ 10am CT. Everyone uses the same conference call number. Anyone in the country–or the world–can join any prayer meeting any day. See more info below.

DEVOTIONAL: PRAYER WILL DEFEAT THE POWERS OF DARKNESS IN IRAN!

Last week we prayed into a serious issue threatening our way of life in America, the truth about election integrity. But there are other equally threatening areas—the rise of communism, the growing influence of Islam and Sharia, and the war in Iran. It is not difficult to see that all of these issues have spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms behind them. So, how are these sorts of battles won? There has always been only one way—prayer. Ron and I have been impacted by Give Him 15 over the last several days. Dutch Sheets is making an effort to arouse the body of Christ to join the fight with daily prayer. He cites prayerlessness as the big problem:
It is unlikely that even 1 out of 1000 professing Christians EVER prays for our President and his team as they navigate the situation in the Middle East (and the war in Iran). The typical American feels that once we elect government leaders, it’s their responsibility to manage the economy, legislation, wars, and a myriad of other civil matters. We subconsciously think: Our part in the governmental thing, thank goodness, is finished until the next election.—Dutch Sheets in Give Him 15 July 23, 2026
If you need modern day examples of the power of persistent prayer study the life of Rees Howells. During World War II, Rees Howells, founder of the Bible College of Wales, led his students in supporting the Allied Forces with their intercessory prayers. They prayed for hours every day warring spiritually against the Nazis and the spiritual forces behind them. With miraculous frequency, their prayers upended Hitler’s demonic plans and contributed to the defeat of the Axis. (See Rees Howells: Intercessor by Norman Grubbs.) Today the forces of darkness behind Iran oppose America, the Christian church, Israel, Jews and God’s desired harvest in the Middle East. Just as millions of praying people during World War II helped turn the tide against Hitler, we, the church, must wake up and do our part. Our prayers today can help turn the tide against the radical Islamic evil in Iran.
LET’S DO OUR PART TO TURN THE TIDE:
Do not be deceived into thinking the war is only militaristic or physical; don’t fall into the trap of expecting President Trump and our military to prevail without our help. I am asking you that for a season, you will commit to daily prayer regarding this, even if only for a few minutes. Whether that be in your devotional prayer time, on your commute, as you do chores around the house, or in gatherings with others…become consistent in your prayers for this. PRAYER POINTS:
1. PEACEFUL LIVES REQUIRE PERSISTENT PRAYER:
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” (I Timothy 2:1-2 NKJV)
Paul explains to Timothy that the key to a peaceful life is a life given to actively praying for leaders and all in authority.
1 Timothy 2:2 tells us that if we want to live tranquil and peaceful
lives, it will require us to pray faithfully for governmental leaders. Simple logic, then, tells us that if we DON’T pray for them, this will NOT happen—Dutch Sheets
2. INTERCESSION FOR MILITARY ACTION:
Moses said to Joshua, “…Fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” So Joshua…fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill…When Moses held up his hand…Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so…Aaron and Hur supported his hands…and his hands were steady…So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people. (Exodus 17:9-13 NKJV)
This military/priestly strategy illustrates the dual levels of war on earth. Raising the rod of God over the battlefield exalted God’s spiritual authority over the battle. Operating under the authority of the Lord released unseen forces that tipped the battle in favor of the Israelite fighters on the field. Even Moses needed help battling the darkness. Our leaders are not wrong or weak to need our prayers.
3. THE ROD OF GOD IS JESUS’ NAME:
“His incomparably great power for us who believe…is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” (Ephesians 1:19-21 NIV)
When we pray in the name of Jesus, we are holding up the rod of God. Our prayers decreeing the authority of Christ over all others release an unequaled spiritual power. That’s why the evil forces try to trick us into not praying.
4. DELIVERANCE FROM THE EVIL ONE:
“…Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:13 NIV)
Father, we humbly ask for deliverance from the evil one and his actions throughout Iran. Jesus, deliver your children in Iran and throughout the Middle East from the principalities and powers that operate there. Break the diabolical hold of the Prince of Persia. Overthrow the evil leaders in Iran. Expose their hiding places, dry up their finances, and create confusion and division among them. End their reign of terror.
