USA Prayer Wall
USA PRAYER WALL: 50 STATES PRAYING ACROSS AMERICA TOGETHER
Let’s pray believing that as we unite in prayer across America our prayers will be powerfully used to dispel the dark forces that have threatened our families, our prosperity and the freedoms we cherish. Let’s start praying now for a million believers who will pray for and witnessing to a million. Let’s celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great country with a million hearing and responding to the good news of Jesus.
DR. P. DOUGLAS SMALL’S vision of a million praying for a million is no small task and will require a multi-organizational, multi-denominational effort to unite believers and congregations in simultaneous prayer and witness.
Intercessors and prayer warriors, let’s do our part with fifty hours a week of prayer. It sounds like a lot but if each state prays just one hour a week, it can be done quite easily. We’re asking our dear Father for one prayer team in each of the 50 states praying just one hour a week for revival and awakening in America and for the specific goal of one million believers praying for one million to come to saving faith in Jesus.
How does Prayer at the Heart’s USA prayer wall work? Each weekday, Monday—Friday, is divided into one hour timeblocks 7 am—7 pm. The 50 states naturally fall into 5 regions of about 10 states each according to the usual time zone for each state. One day of the week is set aside for each region:
Monday, PACIFIC REGION—(Pacific Time Zone) Alaska & Hawaii;
Tuesday, MOUNTAIN REGION—Mountain Time Zone;
Wednesday, CENTRAL REGION—(Central Time Zone);
Thursday, EASTERN REGION—(Eastern Time Zone);
Friday, NEW ENGLAND—(Eastern Time Zone.)
Prayer facilitators in each state select one hour for weekly prayer on the day of the week reserved for that time zone. For example, Minnesota, in the Central region, prays on Wednesday @ 10am CT. Everyone uses the same conference call number. Anyone in the country–or the world–can join any prayer meeting any day. See more info below.

DEVOTIONAL: IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN STAND AGAINST US?

Robert J. Morgan shares the story of the powerful move of God that answered a Pastor‘s prayer and saved Boston back in 1746 (In 100 Bible Verses that Made America).
The governor of Massachusetts and the people of Boston received a report that the French armada was heading South from Nova Scotia to Boston Harbor to burn the city to the ground. America had no defense. They held a day of prayer and fasting that drew panicked citizens crowding into the churches. It was a peaceful day, calm and cloudless.
Pastor Thomas Prince, a man of prayer, began to pray, “Deliver us from our enemy. Send Thy tempest, Lord, upon the waters to the eastward! Raise Thy right hand. Scatter the ships of our tormentors and drive them hence.” At that moment a gust of wind struck the church banging the shutters. The pastor continued, “Sink their proud frigates beneath the power of Thy winds.” The force of wind caused the church bell to peal wildly. The pastor continued, “We hear Thy voice, O Lord! We hear it! Thy breath is upon the waters to the eastward, even upon the deep.” Tears cascading down his cheeks, he closed his prayer, “Thine be the glory, Lord. Amen and amen!”
A hurricane force storm demolished the French fleet. As many as 8000 sailors perished. Only a few survived. In Boston, the governor set aside a day of thanksgiving. All shouted, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31-32)
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s poem, “A Ballad of the French Fleet,” immortalized the event. Here’s a bit of it:
There were rumors in the street,
In the houses there was fear
Of the coming of the fleet,
nd the danger hovering near.
And while from mouth to mouth
Spread the tidings of dismay,
I stood in the Old South (church)
Saying humbly, “Let us pray!”
This is the kind of forceful bold humble prayer that will save America again. And, we are becoming those prayer warriors. God wants to use ordinary people of prayer like us to turn this nation back to himself. To be honest, we can’t afford to fail. If we don’t take our assignment seriously and sacrificially, our grandchildren could be wearing the hijab under a yoke of repression with no future and no hope. We can’t let that happen.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. WE ARE HIS
If God is for us, who can be against us?…Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?…For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:31, 35, 38-39 NKJV
Let’s hang onto God with everything we’ve got! God loves YOU and he loves your persistence and tenacity. If Paul can make these fiery declarations while he endured stoning, lashes and being in prison, so can we in the face of whatever we are going through. Father God, we decree that you are for us and NOTHING can separate us from your love poured out upon us through Jesus.
2. PRAY BOLD PRAYERS
O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name. Daniel 9:19 NKJV
Daniel discovered that the season of the 70 year Babylonian exile prophesied by Jeremiah was at an end. So, he prayed bold prayers. Let’s pray bold prayers—for example: Father, hear our prayer for evil politicians to either turn their hearts to Jesus and repent or be removed from positions of power! Jesus, forgive us for being so timid and complacent for so long. Make us lions of courage! Holy Spirit, please wake up your children to understand how important their voice is. Speak to their hearts and call them to be sure to register and vote Biblical values!
3. FACE THREATS WITH BOLDNESS
“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:29-31 NKJV
Let’s pray for more boldness as the church in Acts prayed. Let’s not let every little threat or challenge terrify us or silence us. But, instead let these experiences drive us closer to God and make our prayers and righteous speech even BOLDER! Lord, let any attempt to silence my voice for you cause me to speak your word with even more boldness.
4. DOING A GREAT WORK
Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together among the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they thought to do me harm. So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you” Nehemiah 6:2-3 NKJV
Nehemiah KNEW he was doing a great work for God in building the wall. His determination and tenacity flowed from his call and pleased God. YOU are doing a great work too! You might not see it that way all the time, but if you aren’t doing it, then who is? Let’s keep this wave of united prayer going across America and around the world.
